Karen’s been feeling icky since last week, but is on the mend. She’s not had a fever, so there isn’t a big concern. It’s just draining her already dwindled energy. Fortunately, she’s on the mend. She’s still exhausted, and has a bit of a cough, but the worst of it seems over.
She’s feeling better just in time. We’re going into town tomorrow for a special event at the Columbus Zoo. A friend’s non-profit organization is holding a fund raising event, and we’ve been looking forward to it. The downside for me is that it’s business formal attire… I think it’s a conspiracy to get me into a suit and tie again! Karen dressed me up for a business photo shoot only a few weeks ago (our business was awarded the “Diversity In Business Award”) and I’m still getting ribbed by friends! For those who aren’t local, I’m much more comfortable in a set of Carhartts and boots.
It should be a nice trip into the big city. Everybody comments on how great she looks (and she does), but it taps out her reserves pretty quickly. I don’t expect that we’ll be out doing much else prior to her next doctor visit on the 25th.
