I held my annual party in Karen’s honor last weekend, and I thought it was pretty incredible. Not because of anything I did, but because of the great people who came, and the wonderful conversations we had.
It was especially humbling that people who never knew Karen in life came out to the party, because they have come to know her through us.
Of course, there might have been some who came just for the food, but I don’t think this is the case. Karen is still an important person in my life, and I speak to her, or about her every day. I think that everybody was there to help me celebrate her life, and I’m in awe of the influence she still has on this world, through the people who knew and loved her, and through those who have come to know about her through us.
It was an awesome party, thank you everybody!
Yes, it was a wonderful way to remember Karen. Let’s do it again next year.
