Chemo has been particularly draining in this new cycle, but things are looking up a little. Yesterday we received a visit from Karen’s brother Bob, and her mother Agnes. It was a nice visit and we had a bite at a local restaurant.
The visit really drained her and she virtually collapsed as soon as they departed, and only got back for a late-night bite of food before returning to bed. The upside is that her energy is looking good so far today. She’s up and about, had a nice breakfast, and wants to go into town for a few items. This is a huge improvement over last week, and a welcome change. She still feels lousy, but at least not devastatingly so.
On a side note, our landscaping guys (Mike’s Landscaping in Circleville) are going to schedule some time to come out and do some work. We’ve had some troubles having room for people to park when they visit, and delivery vehicles have to back all the way up our driveway. Mike’s crew is going to put in a gravel driveway toward our future barn, and we’ll use that as extra parking and for a turn-around. While they’re here we’re hoping to get them to refine our sledding hill a little, including putting in a row of posts to attach a guide rope up the hill. It’s going to be deluxe, and we’re discussing the admission fees now 🙂
Now we need some snow!
Charlie, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Karen. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
