Karen was sleepy most of the day, but we did have a visit from an Occupational Therapist from Mt Carmel Home Health. The nurse will be working with us over the next couple weeks to see if she can help us move around the house better. Karen can sit and stand with my assistance, but it’s our hope that we can make that easier for the both of us.
We do have mobility aids, such as a rail on our bed, shower chair, wheelchair, walkers, etc., and those are all making things easier. We are still considering whether to get a hospital bed. Karen doesn’t want to sleep separately, so we’re going to lower our bed a little to see if that will make things easier. Right now it’s easy to get out of bed, but not so easy to get in.
FaceTime on the iPad Mini seems to work okay. We’re not planning to use it a lot, but it is available when Karen feels up to it. She hasn’t wanted to do that the last couple days.
I am reading the blog comments to her daily, thanks for those. I am not getting her email, and we will be turning her business email over to somebody else to check as soon as we can arrange it. I hopped onto her computer yesterday and there were 1819 messages waiting to be checked.
We have an appointment with a physical therapist here Thursday, and the occupational therapist again Friday. We don’t have anything special planned for tomorrow, but I’ll make a post tomorrow night, even if it’s just to say it was another sleepy day. I’ll continue trying to post every day. Thanks for thinking of us.
Thanks for the updates. Love, Momx
Oh wow! That’s a lot of messages. I bet your landscaping got some much needed sun these past few days. Thanks for the updates. Sending love!
