Christmas is upon us. I don’t expect to have an update on Karen’s health for you until next week, but wanted to write a post to thank you for thinking of us. The outpouring of love over the last year has been… [Ever get stuck not knowing what word to use? Words like grateful, astonishing, humbling, and blessed don’t really seem to be sufficient.] Well, it’s been like the best imaginable thing, all year long. Thank you for being so wonderful and generous.
Wanna see our tree? This year Karen and I trekked all around a tree farm (twice, at least) and came home with a 10.5′ beauty. We barely had enough ornaments!
We aren’t having any big parties over to the house, so the tree is pretty much for us, and now you. The cats have pretty much left it alone. Except for Vera (the little calico tabby, AKA Stinky,) who loves to drink the tree’s water. Go figure. She also naps under it. It’s going to make a heck of a bonfire in a couple weeks!
